Hello, welcome back to 2 peas in a pod blog.
Earlier on this week I went shopping in Linclon and I spotted the Lush fresh handmade cosmetics shop. I've always wanted to have a look in that shop but I don't have one near me. When I first walked into the shop I was struck by the gorgeous scents of sweet bath bombs and bubble bars. I only purchased 4 items but it was my first time using the products so I'm really excited to tell you about them. As it's quite near Christmas the seasonal range was in the store. Many melting snowmen and dashing santa's.
The first product I purchased was the candy mountain. This product I believe is a part of the seasonal range which is the Christmas range and Lush make it even more magical by adding glitter. With a sugary-sweet vanilla and candyfloss scent this product would appeal to anyone with a sweet-tooth and craves sweeties majority of the time. The woman who served me at the shop was really polite and helpful and said it was no doubt one of the most sweet smelling bubble bar in the shop. I think with this product which is a bubble bar you crumble it into a small chunk and crumble under running tap water. This product was £2.75 and if you do decide to buy this you would have to buy it within the Christmas seasonal time period.
The second product I purchased was a the comforter bubble bar. This is definitely the best product I came home with today. I absolutely love it. It smells like a mix of blackberry's and raspberry's. It reminded me of the scent of ribena. The scent is very sweet and the perks of being around all year. The price of this bubble bar was £4.75. It is one of the most expensive bubble bars in the whole store but the size of the product is actually rather big so I would say even though the price is a lot more than other bubble bars you still get your money's worth. The bath water when the bubble bar is broken into pieces leaves it silky and smooth just like your skin after you have been for a bath.
The third product I purchased was the famous Christmas classic snow fairy shower gel. I only purchased the 100g bottle as I didn't know if I would like the limited edition shower gel or not. Turns out I love it. I wish I had got a bigger bottle. It smells so sweet I think I could possibly drink it. ( Please do not drink it as it is NOT edible) hahah. It smells like cadyloss and bubble gum with a hint of Lear drops. The good thing is that the smell lingers on your skin for a good 10 hours and it's still strong. The gel is really smooth and keeps the skin feeling soft. This product was £3.75 which is a good price for such a good quality product. I wish this product was out all year round!
The final product is the cute magic wand bubble bar. I literally think this product is so awesome. You swish the wand around the bath water and it creates glistening bubbles and foam. You can uses this fro 9-10 baths as its reusable just after the bath place it outside to dry. The bubbles it makes actually smells like candy. It also weirdly reminded me of strawberry milkshake from Costa coffee. I don't think it's actually ment to smell like that. The bell also adds a cute touch and this product is a girly one. It costs £5.25 and is quite good. Although when you re use it it tends to loose it's star shape at the top.
Overall my experience at Lush was great and I am already looking forward to going next time and trying some great bath bombs. The lady Mel who served me was so nice and she taught me a lot about the making of the products and how they benefit the skin. I can now say my room smells like a candy shop. I hope you enjoyed my reviews on the 4 lush products I purchased. Please subscribe or follow to our blog if you enjoy reading our blog posts.
