Dealing With Being Bullied.

Hello 2 Peas In A Pod Blog here,

Have you ever been bullied?
Bullying is a hard subject for many people in the world. Some times even the word 'Bullying' can make people shudder. So let's firstly define the word 'Bullying' so I know we're all on the same page here.

Bullying- Bullying is repeated verbal, physical, social or psychological behaviour that is harmful and involves the misuse of power by an individual or group towards one or more persons.

There are many ways of bullying like:-

Verbal Bullying- Bulling that includes name calling, teasing, abuse, put downs, sarcasm, insults and threats.

Physical Bullying- Bullying that includes hitting, kicking, scratching, punching, spitting.

Social Bullying- Bullying that includes ignoring, alienating, excluding and making inappropriate gestures.

Cyberbullying- Bullying that includes sending threats via messages, putting up posts about the victim, repeatedly making fun of the victim online and targeting the victim online.

Psychological Bullying- Bullying that includes spreading rumours, dirty looks, hiding or damaging possessions inappropriate use of camera phones.

It's very common to experience bullying between teenage years. Sometimes it can become really out of hand and you feel like no one cares. I can assure you at least someone in the world cares about you.

If you feel like you are being bullied or you can see that someone is being bullied. Be the bigger person and tell a trusted adult. If you can't bring up the confidence to speak to an adult try speaking to your friends about it, then that way they might be able to help or even come with you to speak to a a duet who can sort the situation out.

A common saying from a bully is 'Tell someone and your dead'. Ok we're sorry but what's a sad pathetic kid who bullies someone in their spare time going to do to you? You have to be the bigger person and tell someone and then you can get help and live a happier life. Many parents would say stand up to them. Although this may seem a great idea at the time but it won't be when you end up getting told off by your head teacher and probably having a cut on your hand. Also that's what the bully wants. They want you to react. Then they have fun whilst bullying you.

So please pluck up the courage to speak to someone about bullying. I can assure you you're not the only one going through the same thing and you might be able to talk to someone about it who is going through the same thing! Just remember one thing the bully is jealous of you. No matter what it is they are just jealous of you. So if anything think of it as a compliment.

We hope this post has encouraged some of you guys to speak to someone about it. We have been bullied in the past but we just told someone and luckily the bullying stopped and we was able to be happy again. Please don't let the bully get you down always try and think positive.
