Hello today it me Lydia writing the blog post, as you can tell by the title this blog post is about what's in my make up bag. This goes quite well with the previous blog post Jade had written as this shows more drugstore make up as that's what I like to buy because I can't justify paying a lot of money on something I don't use that often.
This is my make up bag. I bought this from Primark and it was a good price, I think it was £2. It's a good size and very light in weight. As you can see it is quite full, however majority of it I don't use on a regular basis. I don't wear make up a lot of the time as I'm too lazy to put make up all the time but when I do wear make up these are the products that I always use.
The first product is my foundation it is by 'Bourjois' I had never heard of this brand until Jade suggested it, when I got this foundation I had run out of my previous which was a Rimmel London one which I really liked but when I need to get a new one they didn't have any in my shade! So I tried another one which looked fine when I bought it but when I went to wear it made me look very orange! So when Jade suggested this foundation I thought it was worth a try, it is a very good foundation and I will definitely buy it again because I know what it looks like and I know that I can trust it! If your looking for a new foundation, you should try this because it is a good foundation that has good coverage. It also stays in your face for a while and isn't cakey on your face. The shade of this is called Light Beige.
The next products that I put together are my two concealers, when ever I wear make up I have to use these, they do a very good job of covering up all the blemishes, the tall one is by collection, whenever I run out I always get this as it is a brilliant concealer that I love the colour shade is 'warm medium 3'. It's brilliant coverage and hides the black circles. The other one is by Rimmel London, I use this mainly under my eyes to hid the dark circles, this consealer does a good job of hiding them, the shade is 'sweet honey 103', both of these concealers last a long time and cover up most of the blemishes on my skin.
My next product is my powder, I do have another powder but it is quite dark on my skin so I prefer to use this one as it looks better on my skin. A trick is, if you like a natural look try to get a shade lighter on your powder as it tones the skin colour down. It is by Rimmel London, it lasts a long time on my skin. I have got this powder several times because I now that I like it and it suits my skin colour, the colour shade of this powder is 'sandstorm 004'. As you can see I've hit pan and this is because I love it so much. Obviously if you like a matte finish you will have to re-apply it throughout the day, but I still love this powder.
My second to last make up must have is this lipstick, I have A LOT of lipsticks and that's an understatement, this is my favourite lipstick as it is a fairly neutral colour when it is on the lips. The colour of this lipstick is 'Rosewood' it is by Maxfactor. I absolutely love this colour and it is my go to lipstick as it lasts a long time and is a nice colour that isn't too bright or too dark. I will definitely re-purchase it, it goes really well with a smokey eye. It's long lasting and very pigmented.
My final favourite product in my make up bag is this eye shadow palette, I got this because I wanted to have eyeshadow that were neutral/nude colours, as I personally don't really like bright colours on my eyes. From the previous blog post you saw that I got Jade a Naked palette for Christmas, I knew she wanted one for ages so thought I would get her that plus she got me an awesome present! Even though I wanted a nude eye shadow palette, I didn't want to spend around £40 for myself because I don't use it that much, but this one was only £14 which is much cheaper so I was happier paying that much as I don't use it that much!! The eyeshadows are really pigmented and easy to apply on the eye. The shades themselves are lovely and go really nice with my skin tone.
I hope that you like this blog post and if you don't wear make up that much that you can't justify spending a lot of money on makeup that your not going to wear very often (like me) then I hope this blog post has given you ideas on some products that you can buy quite cheaply which are very good. Thank you for reading this and hope you enjoyed reading it!
