A Weekend Away In Ireland

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

This weeks blog post will be by Jade and today I am going to be talking about my weekend away to Ireland. I visit this glorious country every year around about the same time aswell. Ireland is by far my favourite place/country in the whole world. I find that it's very laid back and also I love the weather, it seems to rain more there and the rain is my favourite type of weather.

So firstly I set off Friday night to the premier inn hotel at London stanstead airport. We grabbed a cup of hot chocolate and went to be bed because we had to be up and out by 4am. When we got to the airport we went through the body and luggage scanner. After that we did a little bit of Christmas shopping in the duty free store. We then got a cup of tea and waited for our flight to Dublin Ireland. We had a good safe flight and arrived on time. We then got ourselves a full Irish breakfast and watched the rain drizzle through the streets. Of course it was raining.

We dropped the men off at Sinnets which is a traditional Irish bar that sells Guinness so my grandad was happy! We then did some shopping and went into various shops like Penny's, Channel, Brown Thomas and H and M. Majority of the shops in our towns in England was the same In Ireland just in euros.

All the shops were decorated festively and the outside of the department store Brown Thomas had hedges in that had twinkley fairy light that was just too cute not to stop and take a good Instagram. In Dublin they have two main shopping streets. One is the left side of the famous Dublin bridge and the other side of it is the other main shopping centre. So we went both sides.
After our shopping trip during the day we stopped for some afternoon tea at a cute little cafe that I can't remember the name of but it was down the street of the photo below. Then we went back to the hotel that was called the central and got ready for the evening.

The whole reason we went on our Ireland trip was to go to Shelbourne Park to see the Night Of Stars. This is a night of greyhound racing, where the best of the best dogs take each other on in open races. We went for a 3 course meal during the evening and it was very nice and I really enjoyed speaking to people there who I talk to on social media but haven't spoken in person in ages so it was a great night.

After that we went to sleep and the next day traveled to Dublin airport which may I say the shops there were amazing and I loved it. Sadly our airplane was delayed by 2 hours due to the airplane was taking people back from France as it was the weekend of the Paris attacks.

I had such a great time and I loved every moment of it. Every year I visit Ireland and everytime I come back I always say I want to live there when I'm older. Yet again I'm saying it so hopefully when I'm older I can comply with my wish! Thank you for reading my blog post I hope you enjoyed it.

Have a lovely day!
Please share the pea pod love!

Thank you !!
