Valentines Day Gift Ideas

So it's that time of the year where we celebrate the love we have for one another. It's also that time where people try to out do one another on gift ideas. However here at 2 peas in a pod blog we like to make things homemade and sentimental.  So we've come up with 4 of the most sentimental home made valentines gifts for him and her.

1. Open When Letters 

These are an amazing idea and they can become very romantic if you put the time and effort into them. You make letters for a certain time or event. Such as when your partner is feeling upset, happy or missing you. They could also be for events like your birthday or your anniversary. You write them all in advanced and seal them in an envelope and write on the front when the person should open them. Simple. Try to make each letter different and unique, that way they will mean a lot more.

2. Scrapbook 

This homemade gift you can go to town on. However this one takes a bit more preparation. You will need to collect loads of photos of you and your partner together at various events and places that bring back good memories. Then around the photo make it colourful and add notes and inside jokes that make the scrapbook personal. Another good idea is keeping little items that remind you of a memory. A good one is a napkin from your first ever date. Put it in the scrapbook and put the date next to it. It will make someone's day.

This is a fun way of making the day special for your partner. All you need is to be creative and know your partner very well! You make coupons for tasks that your partner enjoys. Whether that be a back massage or taking them for a meal. You just make them and they can only use them once and it's a fun way of making the day special. There are loads of ideas on the Internet.

4. Cupcakes 

You can never go wrong with baking a batch of cupcakes and icing them with love hearts on. You can find an easy cupcake recipe here on 2 peas in a pod blog. You can even go all out and make a big Victoria sandwich. Just buy cute Valentine's Day cupcake cases or ribbon. Then ice them fancy! You can buy great Valentine's Day decorations online and in store, just look around. Also make sure they are presented nice and neatly.
