Blogosphere Magazine's Valentine's Tea Party

Hello, It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everyone, welcome back to our blog! How are you all today? Today's blog post is by Lydia and it is about last weekend. If you follow us on Twitter, you will know that on Saturday Jade and I were lucky enough to go to our first blogger event! We went to the Blogosphere Magazine's Valentine's Tea Party event. A couple of weeks ago we got an email from the magazine, saying they were hosting an event, we really wanted to go as we hadn't been to an event previously as we couldn't get there or they were too short notice. Anyway, we were able to get tickets and get down to London, so we could attend the event.

Once we got the tickets, both Jade and I were very excited. As we hadn't been to an event like this before, neither of us knew what to expect. Both of us were very excited to get there. When we got there, we started to feel nervous as quite a lot of people knew each other, and we didn't know anyone. So, we walked around all of the stalls that were there and started talking to all of the brands.

The first company we talked to was Samaya https://www.samayaayurveda.com/. They are a skin care company. They use natural ingredients, to make the right balance and wellness into the creams, cleansers, and oils they have. They have 3 ranges based on traditional Ayurvedic constitutions: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Whilst we were talking to the company, the woman from the company let us test a bit of each of the different creams, they had different scents. The Vata is a Rose scent, the Pitta is a Jasmine scent and the Kapha, well we described it as quite a spa scent. They were a good company, and the people on the stall were lovely.

The next company we went to was a company called BookYourLifestyle  https://www.bookyourlifestyle.com/. This is a company that works with many different salons and Spas around London, they want customers to look at a different way of making an appointment, as this company makes all the appointments for people around the customers on-the-go lifestyle. This is a brilliant idea as it makes it easier for customers with busy lifestyles to get pampered. Unfortunately, we wouldn't really be able to go to the salons as we don't live in London and live too far away. However, it's a great idea and the people on the stall were lovely and welcoming.

The third stall we went to was Dr. Lipps https://www.drlipp.com/. We talked to one of the women working on the stall, she was lovely. The balm that they have is 100% natural and can be used for lots, like; treatment for dry, rough or sore skin and many more uses. We got a couple of samples of the balm. They seem like a very good brand and company. We can't wait to try out the lip balm.

We then went to talk to a company called Glo&Ray http://glo-ray.co.uk/. We talked to them for quite a while, we learnt quite a lot about the company. They also gave us a bag with some of their products in. Some of the products I got was a liquid eyeliner, an eye shadow quad and a lipstick. Jade got an eyebrow shaper, a lipstick and an eyeliner. Their products are really good, and seem like really good quality.  We have tried the eyeshadow and it is super pigmented, love it already.

The fourth stall we went to was The Flash Pack http://www.itstheflashpack.com/. They had a bit where you could have your picture taken and then it was added onto a layout so it looked like your picture was the front cover of the Blogosphere Magazine. Then there was a really cool flat lay booth where you could choose your own background and the props around it. We loved it, we did have to take a couple of attempts to get our picture right but we managed to get good ones in the end. Here's our picture below:

The last stall we went to was Kat Von D http://www.katvondbeauty.com/. Both Jade and I were very excited to see this stall and look around what products they had. Earlier on in the event, we had a quick look at the stall but it was very busy so we went when it was a bit quieter. They had a makeup artist from a Debenhams store who was doing colour matches for their foundations, both Jade and I had ours matched and we will be getting a tester in the post to see if we like it, and we may buy one, which is very exciting. The new valentines range was super cute and we got to swatch some of the two face and Kat Von D eyeshadow pallets. WE NEED.

There was also a Rum company called The Duppy Share http://www.theduppyshare.com/ at the event, but we didn't spend much time there, but from what we saw they were a really good company, and the people on the stall were lovely and very kind. We are obviously under age so we couldn't drink the punch.

During the event there were 2 people that did talks, one of them was a woman who works with bloggers and YouTubers and the other was Anna Shearer who works with a fashion company and has an amazing Instagram. We found the talk by the Brave Bison very useful and the lady gave us some amazing tips on how to get ourselves out there. The talk by LeFashionFetish (Anna) was very interesting and she seemed a very nice person.

Just before we left the event, we thought we would have one of the amazing looking cakes. They were lovely banana cakes. They were so good! They were made by Pearl and Groove http://www.pearlandgroove.com/. They were so good, just see how amazing they look.

As we were leaving, we got goody bags, we got a lot of little gifty bits. We got cleansing body care wipes, White Rabbit lip balm which is chocolate orange and it smells exactly like a Terrys chocolate orange, a pop band that is super cute, a full-size bottle of carex handwash, Dr Lipps balm, Blue Detox tea by Kusmi Tea which is amazing and a Kat Von D shade + light eye contour quad. We love all of what we got in the goody bag, we feel very lucky that we got them and were able to go to the event. So Thank You Blogosphere Magazine for hosting such a great event and the cute little gift bags.

After going around the stalls we started to mingle with some bloggers there. We met Sam, Laura, Alicia and Becca. The were all so nice and we look forward to talking to them in the future.

Anyway, that's the end of our blog post. We had an amazing afternoon at the event, both of us are so glad that we got the tickets and went. We would love to do more events like this as it was so nice meeting loads of other bloggers. We would like to say thank you for Blogosphere Magazine for hosting the event, it was amazing!
