Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Review

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog,

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! Today's blog post is a review. We're sure you've all heard of the famous Cleanse and Polish. It's by the brand, Liz Earle. We've heard so many good reviews of this product that we finally bit the bullet and ordered the starter kit. Jade usually uses the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm but it's very expensive so we were looking out for a cheaper alternative. The starter kit cost £15.50 and it included one 100ml of Cleanse and polish and 2 muslin face cloths. It also came in a wash bag.

Firstly we were so happy with the amount of effort that had gone into delivering and packaging the product. It arrived in the allocated days and inside was a catalogue, a letter from Liz Earle and my order. We thought it was a nice touch to get my order information in a sealed Liz Earle envelope. Inside the envelope was my order receipt and a little card with a free botanical beauty treat from the Liz Earle spa. Unfortunately, we can't get to the Isle of Wight so I can't use it. However, it was a lovely gesture. In my starter kit, we got a Liz Earle mint green wash bag. Inside was 2 big face cloths and a 100ml pump of cleanse and polish. There was also a piece of a card showing you step by step how to use the product. That really helped me. On the back of the card, it shows all of the awards this product has won.... Quite a lot.

So the actual product is really good. We don't know why we hadn't tried earlier. It leaves your skin feeling so clean and smooth. With my previous cleanser, it would leave it feeling greasy in the fact it would moisturise the skin. This doesn't, however, we can deal with that, we don't mind moisturising.

It's simple all you have to do is put a small pump in your hands and gently massage it into your face. Then soak your muslin face cloth in hot water and gently take the cream cleanser off. After it dries it instantly wakes you up and gives your skin the boost it needs. It leaves you skin feeling so clean it's unreal.

We would definitely recommend this product. Before we were very sceptical about using this product and the beautician Jade uses told me not to. So we stupidly listened to her, we regret that now. 7 months later we still wanted to try it so we bit the bullet and bought the cleanse and polish. We don't think we'd ever use a different cleanser. We will definitely re-purchase this product again. We will definitely try other cleansing products but we feel this will always stay in my skincare routine. We've had such a gold response to the cleanse and polish that we will be definitely trying some other products from Liz Earle.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this blog post, we hope you have enjoyed it. Do you swear by Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish?! What other products by the Liz Earle brand do you recommend ? We hope you're having a good day, keep smiling.

Jades Skincare Routine

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hi guys, long time no see. Sorry we have been slacking with the updates. We seriously need to keep to our word of updates on a Monday, Wednesday and a Saturday. Hopefully this week we can keep to our word!

As you can see from the title today is going to be about my skincare routine. So it's obvious that this skincare routine won't suit every skin type. I have quite oily skin so the products in this routine will suit people with oily skin types. So I hope you enjoy it.

The first step I do in my routine is cleansing I sometimes do cheat and use this to take of my make up off, but it gets it all off so why not? I normally just wet my face with warm water as its key to use clean warm water because the warmth opens up your pores and that's what you want to get the dirt and oil out. I then put a small blob onto my hands and just swish it onto my face. I tend to focus on the areas that have the most spots and oil build up. Which for me is my T zone and my cheeks. I just gently massage the lotion onto my face. After that I wait a minute or so, just to make sure I have given it enough time to do its magic. I then splash clean warm water on and make sure I have got it all of my face. I then pat dry my face with a clean towel. I like to use the Elemis 'Sensitive Cleansing Wash' I don't have sensitive skin but I was using the Elemis ' Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash' which was suited to my skin type and I felt it just was not clearing my face up enough, so I swapped to this one and so far it's doing its job! I highly recommend this for young skin that has acne and is going through their teenage years!!

The next step in my skincare routine is Toner. To me this is the most important product and step in my skincare routine. We use toner to remove oil and traces of dirt and grime. They are so useful to people with oily or acne-prone skin. It also provides extra cleansing after wearing make up or other heavy skin products such as sun cream. I always feel more awake and clean after using this. The product is Elemis and it's the ' Balancing Lavender Toner' and it's a spray so you could just spray it on your face and leave it to dry or me personally like or get a Cotton pad and spray it on there and wipe it all over my face. That way I can make sure the excess dirt has come off.

The next step I do is a serum. I use a serum to help prevent acne. The product I use and recommend  highly is the Estée Lauder 'Clear Diffrence, Advanced Blemish Serum, Serum expert anti- imperfections' . When I first got this product I would never of recommended it because it wasn't working with my skin at all and I was using an Estée Lauder cleansing lotion as well ( not the Elemis one) and I used it for a good year and I just wasn't getting anywhere. So I switched to Elemis and I one day randomly added this serum and ever since then I've never stopped using it. I feel like this product and the Elemis cleansing wash work really well together.

The last step of my skin care routine is moisturising. I alternate mine as one of my products is a lot more heavier and hydrating where as the other one does what it needs to do in terms of hydrating my skin. The first product I use is Estée Lauder 'Day Wear' and I specifically use this because it's oil free and does not add to my oil build up in my pores. This is my most hydrating product. I can honestly say it's a very heavy product and for a few hours will lie on top of your skin until it soaks in. However the next day you definitely see and feel the benefit. The next product is the Elemis 'cellular recovery skin bliss capsules' and as you can see they are tiny beads that you take the liquid out of and put it onto your face. This product isn't very hydrating but will do what your skin needs, it will stretch to the extent you need it. It also isn't heavy and you don't feel like you have got it on.

So I hope you have learnt a lot about my skincare routine. If you have oily skin I would definitely recommend this routine as it has really started to benefit me. If you have blemishes don't worry just make sure you are using the right cleansers and toners to suit your skin. That is very important.
