Christmas Eve Pamper Night

Evening everyone and welcome back to our blog. Today's blogmas blog post is about Christmas Eve. We had orginally planned to post this blogpost on Christmas Eve, then we thought hang on how can people be inspired for their Christmas Eve pamper night? So we have decided to post this a day earlier than planned. 

Jade has a tradition with her mum that they order a Chinese and eat it in cozy pyjamas. So that is a great way to kick off your Christmas eve pamper night.

Then it is time for a warm bath with candles lit around it. To make it even more festive play some Christmas tunes. In all our pamper nights we always try and feature a lush product as they are just the best when having a cozy pamper night.

So for the Christmas eve pamper night it was only right to use the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb. The website says ‘Oh bring us some figgy pudding and a tub of good cheer; a Christmas pudding this sweet and malty is worth enjoying early - and all to yourself. Dessert-scented tonka and relaxing lavender melt into clouds of pillowy foam as a blanket of benzoin resinoid casts a serenely creamy spell. Satisfy your Christmas cravings with a bath before drifting off into a deep and tranquil sleep.’ The reason why we chose to use this bath bomb for a christmas eve pamper night is because it has lavender in the bath bomb that helps you sleep. So when you are in bed all excited for Christmas day this bath bomb will help you go to sleep. Also on my sticker from the store it said ‘Catch 40 winks on Christmas eve with islands of foam and melting lavender.

So this was a must have bath bomb for Christmas eve. So Jade just had to purchase it when she went to Lush.

Then you are going to need a face mask to pamper your skin ready for the festive day ahead. We highly recommend the Origins Clear Improvement, Active charcoal mask. It is great for oily skin and those who suffer from spots. Then after the face mask you need to cleanse your skin. We recommend using the Number 7 green bottle. It leaves your face so clean, it’s amazing.

Then after your festive bath you need to get cozy. So firstly on Christmas eve night you are going to need some cozy pyjamas. Jade likes her fluffy fleece bottoms and a cozy fleece jumper. Lydia likes her one direction band top and her fleece bottoms.

Then it is best to spend time with your family so go light some festive candles in your living room and grab a fluffy blanket. Then make yourself a hot chocolate. This hot chocolate is our favourite, its white hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows on top. Yummy.

Then the best way to chill on Christmas eve is sticking on a Christmas movie that everyone loves. Jade has a tradition of watching Miracle On 34^th Street and Lydia loves to watch the snowman. This year channel 4 are doing going on a bear hunt. So that’s one to look out for.

After all the excitement of the Christmas movies and snacking on the box of quality street, it is time to go to bed. Don’t forget to put out your mice pie and carrot.

Once you are ready for bed it is time to moisturise after all it is a pamper night so you need to go all out. We recommend the Estée Lauder Day Wear Cream. We use the oil free version as both of us are unlucky to have oily skin. Oil Free moisturisers on your face work wonders.

Then it is time to get some beauty sleep. As Christmas Day will be full of taking family photos etc.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! Today's blog post is a review. We're sure you've all heard of the famous Cleanse and Polish. It's by the brand, Liz Earle. We've heard so many good reviews of this product that we finally bit the bullet and ordered the starter kit. Jade usually uses the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm but it's very expensive so we were looking out for a cheaper alternative. The starter kit cost £15.50 and it included one 100ml of Cleanse and polish and 2 muslin face cloths. It also came in a wash bag. 

Firstly we were so happy with the amount of effort that had gone into delivering and packaging the product. It arrived in the allocated days and inside was a catalogue, a letter from Liz Earle and my order. We thought it was a nice touch to get my order information in a sealed Liz Earle envelope. Inside the envelope was my order receipt and a little card with a free botanical beauty treat from the Liz Earle spa. Unfortunately, we can't get to the Isle of Wight so I can't use it. However, it was a lovely gesture. In my starter kit, we got a Liz Earle mint green wash bag. Inside was 2 big face cloths and a 100ml pump of cleanse and polish. There was also a piece of a card showing you step by step how to use the product. That really helped me. On the back of the card, it shows all of the awards this product has won.... Quite a lot.

So the actual product is really good. We don't know why we hadn't tried earlier. It leaves your skin feeling so clean and smooth. With my previous cleanser, it would leave it feeling greasy in the fact it would moisturise the skin. This doesn't, however, we can deal with that, we don't mind moisturising.

It's simple all you have to do is put a small pump in your hands and gently massage it into your face. Then soak your muslin face cloth in hot water and gently take the cream cleanser off. After it dries it instantly wakes you up and gives your skin the boost it needs. It leaves you skin feeling so clean it's unreal. 

We would definitely recommend this product. Before we were very sceptical about using this product and the beautician Jade uses told me not to. So we stupidly listened to her, we regret that now. 7 months later we still wanted to try it so we bit the bullet and bought the cleanse and polish. We don't think we'd ever use a different cleanser. We will definitely re-purchase this product again. We will definitely try other cleansing products but we feel this will always stay in my skincare routine. We've had such a gold response to the cleanse and polish that we will be definitely trying some other products from Liz Earle.

Jade's July Favourites

Hello everybody and welcome back to our blog. Today's blog post will be by me, Jade. The post today is all about my July favourites, wow August already? This year has gone by so quick. I can't believe that this month I will be collecting my GCSE results. Mad, I know. However, I must say I am super excited that we are coming closer to the festive seasons like Halloween and Christmas. Be sure to stay tuned for festive themed blog posts. Anyways let's get on with my July favourites.

My first favourite of July is my Ted Baker handbag. I genuinely still can't believe I own one. For since I can remember I've always wanted to own a Ted Baker handbag, but they are just too much money. So when I went to Nottingham I did my usual go into the designer shops and dream about owning such beautiful clothing. However, when I went into the Ted Baker shop I was surprised to see a sale. So I walked in not expecting to buy anything but I saw this handbag and I fell in love with it. The rose gold metal and the light grey leather. Urghhh it's so beautiful. I looked at the price tag and saw £299, I was gobsmacked at the price. Then I saw the new sale price which was £125. Which I think is a massive bargain for what the handbag was originally. So I treated myself and I have not regretted it since. How cute is it?

My next favourite is Zoella Beauty. So recently Zoë released her new range sweet inspirations and everybody was raving about it. Unfortunately, my local Superdrug didn't stock it. However, as soon as they stocked it I was ready to buy the products I wanted.  So I bought the bath latte, fizz bar and the sugar dip. I wanted to buy the spritz but there were none in stock. However, I absolutely love the scent it reminds me of marshmallows. The bath latte is so soft on my skin I absolutely love it.

My next favourite is the NYX soft matte lip, I got these because im so obsessed with the Kylie Jenner  lip kits but could never get my hands on one so this was the closest. Can I just add I have 2 weeks until my Candy K lip kit arrives, I'm so excited. However, these soft matte lips are just amazing they dry easily and are easy to apply. The two shades I bought were Stockholm and Cannes. They are very similar in colour but I love nude shades so I wasn't prepared to jump into other shades without trying the product itself first. But they last a good amount of time and don't dry out your lips too much which is a bonus. I definitely recommend them.

This is a weird favourite of mine and I know some people won't like it. I'm currently watching the tv series 'Brief Encounters' which is on itv. It's a show about the late 70's and women looking for work. They basically end up working for Anne Summers. It's not weird like many would think it's very much about how women weren't valued with equality of the men etc. It's very interesting and I enjoy it very much.

Make Up Advice For Beginners

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog !! We hope you've had a good week so far. So, as you can see by the blog post title, today's post is about make up advice. We wish when we first started out using makeup we had a guide to make up. It would have saved us a lot of money ! 

Tip 1: Stick To The Basics 

The best thing for a beginner is to stick to foundation, powder, mascara and 1 colour eyeshadow. This may seem a bit boring but trust us, you need to know yourself what sort of finish you like or colour etc. So there is no point in splashing out the cash on the brand new high end foundation that everyone is raving about. Stick to a drugstore one so then it's easy to access and you can swap and change until you find the finish you like on you. That might be matte or dewy. Also sticking to 1 eyeshadow will keep things alot easier and you won't look a wally when you try to blend 3 eyeshadows together.

Tip 2: Don't Wear It Everyday 

You've gone a long time without wearing makeup, so it's a shock to the system when you start blocking your pores with foundation and powder. So try not to wear it during the week and keep it until the weekend for a while else you might irritate your skin and flare up with bad spots. 

Tip 3: Work Your Way Up

Once you are comfortable with a foundation that you trust, then start to look for concealers. You might like liquid or block. So try some out. Then develop onto different shades of lipsticks. Eg nudes, berry tones or a classic red lip. After that look for a cute blusher.

Tip 4: Use Make Up Brushes 

We swear by make up brushes, they help apply the make up on smoothly and help decrease the imperfections. Now we know it's tempting to use your hands to blend in your foundation. DO NOT AT ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO THIS. Please we are begging you. It's scientifically proven that germs and bacteria spread quicker that way. Just think of the germs you would be spreading onto your face, not to mention the acne. Also this is a friendly reminder to try and clean your make up brushes once a week if not once a fortnight.

Tip 5: Do Some Research 

If your not 100% sure on a certain product do some research. Go online and read the reviews on it. See what others are saying. It's also great to watch a beauty video on YouTube. Then you can see what the product is like in visual format. You are better off knowing yourself about the product before buying it.

Top 5 Must Haves For A Perfect Beach Day

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! It's been so sunny here in England and everyone is in the summer mood. It's that time of year where you and your family are taking trips to the beach or packing your suitcase to jet of somewhere exotic. Either way we are going to give you 5 tips to have a perfect beach day.  We've teamed up with Adore Me and their hashtag #BeachDayMusts. Adore Me have an amazing Instagram that you definitely should go check out Adore Me. They also have an amazing website which have some super cute lingerie to offer.

So we are getting involved in the hashtag and telling you guys our top tips to have a perfect beach day!!

Our first must have to create the perfect beach day is a swimming costume. Now we don't just mean any old swimming costume we mean a super cute one that will give you full confidence. That might be a 2 piece bikini that you can show your belly bar off or a full length swimming costume. This will help to a perfect beach day because you can then have fun in the sea and also tan your legs! The swimming costume in the picture is just adorable the red floral print is a statement and would definitely catch people's eyes.

The next must have is a beach bag. This is because you can keep all of your belongings in one place and not loose them. We think a nice big tote bag is the best because it's big enough to fit your beach towel and sun cream etc. This is a super cute vintage bag and its big enough to fit your sunnies and suncream in. 

This is a big must have, sun cream. Without sounding too serious we definitely recommend you take suncream. If your looking to get a tan then try a low SPF but still have some. If you expose your skin to too much sun it could lead to skin cancer, so try and be safe. If your anything like Jade then you will burn so easily so a high factor is a better option. Also try and look for a good waterproof lotion so then if you find it a chore to apply the suncream then you won't have to apply it so often if it's water resistant. 

Magazines are a great way to relax. So why not pick up your favourite fashion magazine or interior design magazine and take it down to the beach with you. It also would look super cute in an Instagram!! These are some of our favourites and they are worth the read! 

The last beach must have is flip flops. This could also mean sandals as well but whatever you feel the most comfiest in.  We wouldn't recommend your new Jimmy choo sandals or whatever fancy expensive shoes you love because the beach can sometimes become messy so bring your sandals or flip flops that you don't mind getting ruined. The photo is of Jade's flip flops she wore last year at Fuerteventura. They tested really well and are still in great condition to go on her holiday to Gran Caneria this year!
