Lydia's February Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here!

Hello everybody, welcome back to our blog! How are you today? As you can tell by the title this blog post is my (Lydia) February favourites. These are the things I have been obsessed with and loving over the past month. So, without further ado, lets get on with the blog post!

The first of my February favourites is this nail polish. At the moment this is my go to colour, I love it! It's by Avon, it is called Mark. Gel Shine Nail Enamel in the colour 'Moody'. I don't know if it is still on sale as I have had it for a while, but have only just started to use it regularly recently.

My second favourite of February is the Zoella Winter wonderhand hand cream. I absolutely love this hand cream its amazing! My hands become quite dry at times especially in the colder months and its freezing at the moment so my hands are suffering, which is where this hand cream is a life saver, it makes my hands soft again after a day or two of using it. I got this in the Zoella Snowella Treasure Me Pamper box, I absolutely love it!

My next February favourite is this face cream. This face cream is Avon True Nutra Effects Radiance Night Cream, as it is a night cream I obviously use it before I go to bed. I wash my face and then use this, it makes my skin feel very soft, I've used this for a while now, but thought it had to be part of my February favourites. It is also at a very good price of £4.50.

The fourth thing I have been obsessed with in February is a TV Series. I'm sure all of you have heard of a Series called 'Friends'. I had seen odd episodes and clips etc of the show and I've loved it, but I've never watched episodes in order or all of the episodes even though I really wanted to. However, on the 1st January 2018, Netflix added all of the seasons of Friends, I was so excited I started watching them. I have almost finished watching all of the seasons, I just have a couple of episodes left. I love it so much!

My fifth and final favourite of February is a book. This book has been around for a while and has even had a film made based on it. It's called 'The Girl On The Train' by Paula Hawkins. I had heard of it but not read the book or seen the film, however, my mum had the book and read it so we had it in the house. I was looking for a book to read as I hadn't sat down and properly read for ages. So, I picked this book up, and couldn't put it down, It's a great book, I couldn't stop reading it. If you haven't read it before I would definitely recommend it!

So, that's the end of this blog post. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this blog post. What is something you've been loving in February? I seriously recommend all of the things in this blog post. Thank you again for reading.

Lydia's August Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here!

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to our blog. We hope you are having a great day! As you can see by the title today's blog post is by Lydia and is about my August favorites. So, all the things in this blog post are things that I have been loving this past month, so, let's get on with my August favorites.

So, my first favourite of this past month is these candles, I got these from B&M for £2.49. My mum and I went into B&M to get a couple of gifts for some people, I wasn't actually looking for anything but I saw these candles, and as they were Christmas candles, I was very excited. They all smell so good, and so festive! I love them, I haven't actually lit any of them yet, but I'm very excited for when I do. My favourite of the 4 is Winter Berries, it's like a classic smell of Christmas candles, but they all smell so good!

My second favourite of August is this candle holder. It's really cute, again this is from B&M for about £4. I needed a candle holder like this for a while, and when I saw it I needed it. It is so cute, and actually looks really nice, especially when there's a candle in it too! I absolutely love it!

My next favorite of last month is this movie. Now, I think Jade and I have talked about this movie a lot before! It is one of our favorite movies! Elf, is an amazing film, and I always watch it! I've already started watching Christmas films and listening to Christmas music. And Elf is my favourite Christmas film to watch. I love Buddy, the whole film just makes laugh and feel so festive!

The fourth favorite of mine is this hand sanitizer, this is a bit of a weird one I guess. But, it's in my favorites because I absolutely love it. I normally have the hand soap of this, and when I saw it I had to get it. It just smells amazing and is perfect for having at college! Bubblegum is just an amazing scent.

My fifth and final August favorite is the Zoella Catching Trinkets Jewellery Tray, it's so cute! It's perfect for a bed side table and keeping small and loose jewellery. I misplace some of my jewellery, so this is perfect, plus it looks so cute! It is on sale for £12 so it is quite pricey, it is just amazing so it is worth the money.

So, that's my August favorites! I hope you enjoyed this blog posts! And I hope you enjoyed reading about my favorites. What have you been loving in August? Thank you again for reading and I hope you enjoyed.

Jade's 2016 Favourite's

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello, everyone, I hope you are doing well. It's Jade here. Wow, is it that time already? The time where I tell you guys what I loved throughout 2016. Truthfully I am glad to see the back of 2016 and I hope 2017 is much better. So without further ado lets get on to what I loved during 2016.

Also dont forget to come back to our blog this Thursday to check out our first ever blog interview with a blogger. All will be revealred Thursday 12th January.

So first up in 2016, I loved the Urban Decay Naked Pallet 1. I received it for Christmas 2015, so throughout 2016 I always reached for this pallet. I feel like it has a variety of shades and that is why I love it so much. I feel like my blending skills have gotten so much better in the past year. I tend to use the shade 'Naked' on the eye lid then I put 'Sin' on top. Then I put 'toasted' in my creases and blend them in. After that, I usually put 'Virgin' in the inner corners of my eye lids to brighten up my eyes.

My next favourite of 2016 has to be the Real Techniques blending sponges. You may know that I used to be obsessed with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, I would use nothing else but that brush to apply my foundation. Then obviously I got the new Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (which I would never recommend) Here is my review on that foundation if you want to check it out. (just click the word here). Anyways I bought this sponge to test out the foundation. Ever since then I have always used this sponge. It is amazing and helps me apply my foundation a lot more smoother now. Also, I had washed these sponges before I took this picture but where I use the sponge the most the foundation has stained the sponge. Gutted, if any of you know of a way of getting that out then it would be much appreciated.

The next favourite I loved in 2016 is the Yankee Candle Berry Trifle. What a surprise to see a candle appear in my favourites. Anyways, this has to be my favourite I got it for Christmas 2015 and I instantly loved the smell. I sparingly used it as I didn't want it to run out as it's a Christmas edition you can only get it around that time of the year. So for this Christmas I was very happy when I received the biggest version of this candle.

Zoella products in general have been my favourite in 2016. I love all the products I have and I often repurchase. I can not decide if Tutti Frutti or Sweet Inspirations are my favourite range. I love the Soak Opera and I had to buy another one just to take this photo. So everything in this picture is my favourite product from each of the ranges Zoë has released. I was lucky enough to get a pamper hamper for Christmas so I have a fair share of the gingerbread scent. I have to say the gingerbread spray is a little too overpowering for me.

My next favourite is very random but it is the Thorntons Mini Caramel Shortcake Bites. I am an all round lover of caramel. Anything that has caramel on it I love. So when I found these in the supermarket I had to get them. I know they are unhealthy but once and a while a little bite will not mind. They are so rich in flavour and they are very moreish. I have to stop myself from eating the whole packet. Recently I found out they did white chocolate versions of these.  So I got them for Lydia and I to try. All I can say is wow, once myself and Lydia took a bit we instantly looked at each other and said 'Omg'. They were so so nice. I have just realised I have written a whole paragraph on a caramel shortcake bite, I feel like that says a lot about me. HaHa!

The next favourite of 2016 is Blogging. I feel like in 2016 I fell in love with blogging a lot more. I felt like it was an escape from the outside world. There was nothing more I loved than coming home from a stressful day of GCSE revision and opening my laptop to write a blog post. It helped me unwind and I really enjoyed it. It has driven me to want to do more with the blog this year in 2017 and make it better. Lydia is also on board with that so hopefully this year our blog is much more advanced.

This favourite is quite important to me. This is because without my laptop I would not be able to blog or do my college assignments. I have the Macbook Air 13 inch. I love it so much. It is light weight and easy to travel with. As I do media I have access to programs like Adobe Premiere Pro etc. I just love it.

My last but no means least favourite is my Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. I have the Shade Candy K. I love it so much and the lip liner is great I use it all the time. I feel lucky to have one of these and I am glad I bit the bullet and finally bought one.  Candy K suits my skin tone and I reach for it a lot. I personally would not buy another one because of the shipping costs and customs fees. I can't remember exactly how much it cost me in the end but the shipping and customs charges cost more than the lip kit. Don't get me wrong if they were sold here in the UK then I would not hesitate to buy loads more. But throughout 2016 I used my lip kit, I love it.

Well that is a wrap! Thank you so much for taking the time out your day to read this blog post. We really do appreciate all the people reading our blog.  I hope you have enjoyed reading all about my 2016 favourites, What is your 2016 favourite? Also Happy New Year !!!

Jade's July Favourites

Hello Its 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everybody and welcome back to our blog. Today's blog post will be by me, Jade. The post today is all about my July favourites, wow August already? This year has gone by so quick. I can't believe that this month I will be collecting my GCSE results. Mad, I know. However, I must say I am super excited that we are coming closer to the festive seasons like Halloween and Christmas. Be sure to stay tuned for festive themed blog posts. Anyways let's get on with my July favourites.

My first favourite of July is my Ted Baker handbag. I genuinely still can't believe I own one. For since I can remember I've always wanted to own a Ted Baker handbag, but they are just too much money. So when I went to Nottingham I did my usual go into the designer shops and dream about owning such beautiful clothing. However, when I went into the Ted Baker shop I was surprised to see a sale. So I walked in not expecting to buy anything but I saw this handbag and I fell in love with it. The rose gold metal and the light grey leather. Urghhh it's so beautiful. I looked at the price tag and saw £299, I was gobsmacked at the price. Then I saw the new sale price which was £125. Which I think is a massive bargain for what the handbag was originally. So I treated myself and I have not regretted it since. How cute is it?

My next favourite is Zoella Beauty. So recently Zoë released her new range sweet inspirations and everybody was raving about it. Unfortunately, my local Superdrug didn't stock it. However, as soon as they stocked it I was ready to buy the products I wanted.  So I bought the bath latte, fizz bar and the sugar dip. I wanted to buy the spritz but there were none in stock. However, I absolutely love the scent it reminds me of marshmallows. The bath latte is so soft on my skin I absolutely love it.

My next favourite is the NYX soft matte lip, I got these because im so obsessed with the Kylie Jenner  lip kits but could never get my hands on one so this was the closest. Can I just add I have 2 weeks until my Candy K lip kit arrives, I'm so excited. However, these soft matte lips are just amazing they dry easily and are easy to apply. The two shades I bought were Stockholm and Cannes. They are very similar in colour but I love nude shades so I wasn't prepared to jump into other shades without trying the product itself first. But they last a good amount of time and don't dry out your lips too much which is a bonus. I definitely recommend them.

This is a weird favourite of mine and I know some people won't like it. I'm currently watching the tv series 'Brief Encounters' which is on itv. It's a show about the late 70's and women looking for work. They basically end up working for Anne Summers. It's not weird like many would think it's very much about how women weren't valued with equality of the men etc. It's very interesting and I enjoy it very much.

My last favourite is the shop coconut lane. As you know we recently became Coconut Queens and we were able to give you lovely readers a 20% discount code which is 'peas20', so make good use out of it.  It's a good online shop that sells amazing wall art and novelty gifts. I have a supercute wall art that I bought ages ago on my wall and I love it loads. You should definitely check it out at http://www.coconut-lane.com

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and I have given you some inspiration in what to treat yourself to this month. I hope you have an amazing week and enjoy what you are doing. I think this might be the last time I get to write on my own before results day, so I hope you get the results you want and if not don't worry, it's not the end of the world. Keep laughing ☺️

What Jade Got For Her Birthday

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog ! A lot has happened since we last did a blog post, I've (Jade) have officially turned 16, Lydia and I went to see 5 Seconds Of Summer !! You can catch up on all of that on our blog as we documented it! Anyway on Thursday I turned 16! Which is exciting I guess. So I thought I would do a blog post on a few things that I got for my birthday. Thank you to everyone who got me a birthday card or present.

The first thing I got for my birthday was this gorgeous necklace from Warren James. I received this from Stephanie and it's called 'The Tree Of Life'. It's rose gold and I love it, it's so classy. I wore it at my birthday meal so I loved it. Thank you so much.

The next few items I got was was these two cute me to you bears with 16 on them. I got one from my Mum and one from my Nan. They are really cute and I will display them on my shelf. The next one is a DVD from my Mum. It's called 'Paper Towns' I previously read the book by John Green and absolutely loved it, I couldn't put it down. So it's great now I have the chance to watch the film. I will report back to you on what I thought about it.

This cute Zoella make up bag was from Lydia. I love this bag and I've been admiring it for ages, I never got it myself because I already have the Zoella Guinea pig bag in the same style. So when I received this on my birthday I was so happy. I can't wait to use it. I think I will use it for make up brushes or maybe a weekend make up bag, so I can condense my make up down for travelling.

The next birthday gift I received is this beautiful Ted Baker purse from my Mum. I've always wanted a designer purse, so I was very happy when I got this. I had previously picked it out in the Ted Baker store. I picked this one because it has a rose gold zip and gorgeous black and white detailing inside. It's also nice and big which I prefer in a purse. Thank you Mum I love it.

This was a lovely present. You all know how much I love bath products. So when I opened this I was estatic. I received this lovely gift from my Auntie, Uncle and cousins. I will be sure to use these in the future. I'm really excited to use the flower bath bomb. I can't also wait to do a review on the moisturiser. This box is called the festival box which is so cool. They smell really nice and are making my bedroom smell like heaven.

Thank you for reading my blog post, I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone who got me beautiful gifts !! I got a few more but I wanted to feature these on my blog post and keep the others for another blog post !! I also got some birthday money which I purchased a new pair of Ted Baker sunglasses which I'm super excited to wear them in the summer. Thanks again for reading !!

Handbag Essentials

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Today's blog post is by me, Jade. Firstly I would like to apologise for the bad lighting in the photos in this blog post. I had to rush taking them and I only had spare time at 6pm in the evening, as you can see it's not the best natural lighting. Anyways this blog post is about the essentials I keep in my bag. I'm definitely one of these people that carry around too much in their bag, so you might think this is an excessive amount of items but I feel it's just the right amount.

Michael Kors Handbag  £260.00

So firstly this is my bag. I was lucky enough to receive a Michael Kors handbag for Christmas and ever since then I love it. It's very practical you can either use the small handles that are already on it or it comes with a longer strap to go around your shoulder. I much prefer it with the longer strap. It's nice and spacious inside and I can get a lot inside it. It's a lot of money to start off with but Its worth it.

Umbrella-Penny's- €12.00
I really like this umbrella I got it when I visited Ireland as it was lashing rain down and we needed some sort of protection. This was my favourite and I've used it ever since. It's a really good price and is reliable. I got it from Penny's which is the Irish version of Primark. I take this umbrella with me all the time during the winter seasons as you never know when you're going to need it here in England.

Packet Of Tissues- Primark- £1.00 For A Pack Of 12
This is simple really you always need a tissue for if you have a snotty nose or you have just sneezed. This was from a frozen themed pack of 12 from Primark. I can't moan really you get your value for money and they are in cute packets. I'm such a child when I saw them I just had to buy them.

Hair Bobbles & Grips- Primark - £1.00
There seems to be a theme of items from Primark. I got these hair bobbles and grips from Primark they were £1 each. You never know when you're going to need a spare hair grip or bobble so I always carry spare.

I Phone 5s- Apple- £180.00
I always carry my phone around with me because I like to keep up to date with social media and be able to call and text people whilst I'm on the go. I love my phone it works really well and is just the right size. No more words needed.

Soap & Glory Spray- Boots- £3.00
I received this spray in a gift set of 4. I personally don't like the smell of the other 3. However, I absolutely love this scent. It's called 'Sugar Crush' and its a very fresh scent which is unusual for me as I love a sweet scent. This just reminds me of summer so I always carry it around in my bag because I often feel conscious that I smell awful so it's easy to rectify the problem with a little bit of spritz.

Purse- Dorothy Perkins- £20.00
I really liked this purse so I "borrowed" it off my mum but never managed to give it back. It's a nice small size and has places to put your money notes, coins, cards and sentimental photos. It has a twist lock and keeps everything inside nice and secure.

Keys
They open the front door that leads into my house, I would be stupid if I didn't leave the house without them. I wouldn't be able to get back into my house.

Lipstick- Gosh- £6.00
This was the lipstick I was wearing the day I took the photo. So whatever lipstick I'm wearing I always carry it in my bag so then I can re-apply throughout the day. This lipstick is a matte type which is my favourite type and it applies really nicely and I find it's not too drying on my lips, which I really like. It's a nude shade and is more pinky tone, it's a little like my beloved Mac Velvet Teddy but a little more pinky toned.

Hand Sanitizer- Carex- £2.99
I always like to carry a sanitizer because if your outdoors and shopping or catching the tube etc it can be really filthy and who knows what bacteria is living on the hand rails or door handles. So for my own peace of mind, I just like to carry a bottle just so my hands are clean. Also, this is in the strawberry laces edition which smells divine.

Notebook & Pen- Don't Know- N/A
I love to carry a notepad and pen in my bag because then if you really need to jott something down then you can. Also this is my blog post planning book. So I can schedule the blog posts for when Lydia and I are going to post and what we are going to post. I love the notebook it self its really luxuroius and the detailing is gorgeous. I recieved it as a gift from my step mum so I dont know where it is from, sorry.

Body Lotion- Zoella- £5.00
I use this as a handcream and I normally have my Zoella wonder hand in my bag but recently I packed it in my suitcase because I went somewhere and never got it out. So im subtituting it for my body lotion, they still work the same. It smells really fruity and summery. It is a big bottle to carry around but its just so nice to moisturise your hands on the go if they are feeling dry. I think the product it self is quick drying and works really well. I apply this nearly everyday and its working really well.

Earphones-Apple- £25.00
I got some of these with my phone but I accidentally dropped them in a pot of paint which ruined them. I love them so much that I bought them again. I highly recommend them as they stay in your ears and are a good quiality of sound.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, thank you for taking the time to read the blog post. I hope I have given you some ideas to what to pack in your handbag. I hope you have a good day and rememeber to smile.

Sheffield Haul

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

It's Jade here and as you know a few weeks back I went to Sheffield to see One Direction but also I went to Meadowhall during the daytime to do some shopping. Meadowhall has 280 shops, so you can imagine it's going to be a long haul blog post.

The first thing I bought was this adorable scalf. I saw it in the Hollister shop window and I really liked it. So I went in and got it and ever since that I can't stop wearing it. I love it so much.

I then went into lush. If you know me then you will know that I have never not been into a lush store and come out with the 'Comforter' bubble bar. I absolutely love it and it's my favourite lush product ever. So of course I got that. I then got the 'Blackberry Bath Bomb'. I accidentally picked this bath bomb up as I was meant to pick up the  'twighlight' bath bomb but accidentally kept this one, however when I put it in my bath it made my bathroom smell of sweet blackberries and it even had a surprise in the middle. I loved it and might even get it again. Then I got the 'Father Christmas' bath bomb and it smells just like snow fairy and it's so sweet. I haven't yet tried this in my bath but I've opened it up in my bedroom and it's made it smell sweet. So it has the smell factor!

I then went into the Disney store and I bought the Lotso bear from Toy Story 3 and his tummy smells of strawberries and I love it, that was the main reason as to why I got him. I then got Lady from lady and the tramp. These are to go towards my Disney collection. Yes I collect all things Disney.

I then went to Primark and picked up two jumpers. I just got a grey one and a mustard colour one. They are a soft material and were super cheap! £6 each. I really like the mustard one it's very autumnal.

I then got these 5 Seconds Of Summer socks. I don't know why. Maybe because I like them and I can wear them next year when I see them live (12th April)

I then got this green flannel shirt. I just got this because I wear flannel shirts where I work so I can never have enough of them! This is the long version, I've never had a long one I normally get the standard length but I accidentally picked up one of the long ones. I'm actually not sure if I like it yet.

I then got this black leather bag. I'm going to use this for when I go out. I usually have a brown shoulder bag but it irritates me so much when it constantly falls of my shoulder and I'm forever putting it back on. So I thought this would solve the problem.

I got these copper/rose gold fairy lights because they are so cute!! They are stars and the light it self is gold. These were £6 and they hang on my white Chester draws so they look cute.

I then got this mug and it's from the Gabriella range which is Velvetgh0st from YouTube. Gabby released a Primark homeware collection. The only downfall was the closest Primark that stocked the range was Sheffield. So the only time I got was this time and of course I'm 3 months late from when it was released and it was limited edition. The only thing they had left in the whole store was this mug so I got it. I did want the fleece throw.

The next item I got was a Yankee candle gift set! It was a tin box with 3 little Christmas scented candles. The first one was berry trifle, which is my favourite it's very sweet smelling and instantly reminds me of Christmas. The second one is sparkling snow and it is a subtle smell and is a good one for the candle lovers who prefer discrete scents. The third one was orange spice and I have that one lit in my bedroom now and it's a warm scent. Very nice, this is a great gift idea for candle lovers.

The last thing I brought was these 3 items from the Zoella beauty range. I already have the Guinea pig pencil case, the candle and the shower gel so I decided to buy some more items to go with my collection. I firstly got the lace collar purse and I think that's a great item to have in your handbag to put in loose earnings or bracelets. Then I got the lets spritz body mist and that is such a sweet and fresh scent I love it. Then I got the hand cream and it's the original scent and it's great for your handbag too.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. I did also buy a grey long coat however it's at my house and I haven't had time to take a photo of it, however I'm sure it will feature in another blog post. So keep your eyes out. Thank your for reading our blog it means so much to us!
