Jade's February 2019 Favourites

Looking back on the previous month's favourites is often hard, because some months you've been loving all the same things as before and some months you've been so adventurous that you've got so much to talk about! This month I guess you could say that I am still in Christmas mode... wow yes I did just drop the C bomb in March! I'm still using all my gifts from Christmas 2018 that I have and would love to share!

First up is this Ariana Grande perfume, it is called Sweet Like Candy and it smells so sweet. I have her 1st and 3rd perfume and I love them so much. So when the January sales came around I had to nap the 2nd perfume! Which may I add is the best one out of the lot! I am still yet to try the cloud one but I definitely recommend this scent it is very sweet and lasts quite a while.

Staying on the same page as Queen Ari, I am just so obsessed with her new album, Thank U Next. It came out at the beginning at the start of February and I love it so much! My top three songs are 7 Rings, Fake Smile and Ghostin. I feel like this album is a lot more real and comes from her heart. This isn't my favourite album of hers but it is definitely up there.

I received this Ted Baker rucksack for Christmas from my Mum and ever since I have used it all the time. I much prefer using a rucksack because they are easier to carry and you can just have them on your back and still have full use of both of your hands. I wanted a black leather bag because it goes with everything.

I feel like this tv series on Netflix everyone and their gran has watched. I absolutely loved it, I watched over one weekend and loved it so much. There are 8 episodes and each are about 30 mins long. It is a comedy series and involves British actors. I really recommend it, there are some sexual references so if you get offended by that sort of humour I don't think you'd like it. My favourite character is Adam I am so fascinated by his character and where his story was going.

My final favourite is this Friends candle, it smells like caramel cappuccino and wow it makes my room smell so good. I haven't even lit it yet because I'm scared it will run out quickly! I feel at some point I will have to use it. However, when it is finished I will clean it out and use it for something, I could plant a succulent in it or use it for odd change.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and you had a great February, what's been your favourite last month?

Thank You,

Jade

Lydia's February Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here!

Hello everybody, welcome back to our blog! How are you today? As you can tell by the title this blog post is my (Lydia) February favourites. These are the things I have been obsessed with and loving over the past month. So, without further ado, lets get on with the blog post!

The first of my February favourites is this nail polish. At the moment this is my go to colour, I love it! It's by Avon, it is called Mark. Gel Shine Nail Enamel in the colour 'Moody'. I don't know if it is still on sale as I have had it for a while, but have only just started to use it regularly recently.

My second favourite of February is the Zoella Winter wonderhand hand cream. I absolutely love this hand cream its amazing! My hands become quite dry at times especially in the colder months and its freezing at the moment so my hands are suffering, which is where this hand cream is a life saver, it makes my hands soft again after a day or two of using it. I got this in the Zoella Snowella Treasure Me Pamper box, I absolutely love it!

My next February favourite is this face cream. This face cream is Avon True Nutra Effects Radiance Night Cream, as it is a night cream I obviously use it before I go to bed. I wash my face and then use this, it makes my skin feel very soft, I've used this for a while now, but thought it had to be part of my February favourites. It is also at a very good price of £4.50.

The fourth thing I have been obsessed with in February is a TV Series. I'm sure all of you have heard of a Series called 'Friends'. I had seen odd episodes and clips etc of the show and I've loved it, but I've never watched episodes in order or all of the episodes even though I really wanted to. However, on the 1st January 2018, Netflix added all of the seasons of Friends, I was so excited I started watching them. I have almost finished watching all of the seasons, I just have a couple of episodes left. I love it so much!

My fifth and final favourite of February is a book. This book has been around for a while and has even had a film made based on it. It's called 'The Girl On The Train' by Paula Hawkins. I had heard of it but not read the book or seen the film, however, my mum had the book and read it so we had it in the house. I was looking for a book to read as I hadn't sat down and properly read for ages. So, I picked this book up, and couldn't put it down, It's a great book, I couldn't stop reading it. If you haven't read it before I would definitely recommend it!

So, that's the end of this blog post. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this blog post. What is something you've been loving in February? I seriously recommend all of the things in this blog post. Thank you again for reading.

February Birchbox Review

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog. It's Jade here, I hope you are doing well. It feels good to be writing a blog post, for me, it's a time where I can de-stress and switch off from the world. Anyways, there is something about subscription boxes that make me excited. I think it is the fact that you are receiving presents each month and you don't know what they are. I am all for treating yourself to a monthly subscription. I have been researching for a while on a few beauty boxes as that's what I would like to try first. I read countless blog reviews and finally made my mind up on the Birchbox.

So, the February Birchbox costs £10 plus about £3 for shipping. I personally don't think that is a bad price and being a student I was able to use my UniDays discount code. So all together I paid £7.95. That is a bargain. I received the box in great condition and in a reasonable time too. So I can't fault anything there. Something that I can say though is I was surprised by the size of the box. From looking at the pictures on Birchbox Website I thought the box was going to be bigger. However, this did work in my favour because the box design was so beautiful I just couldn't throw it away so I planned on keeping it. Although with the size I thought it was going to be I was worried where I was going to put it. So when it came I was shocked in a good way at the size. (Such an innuendo).

So the first thing in the box that I was drawn too is a Spectrum brush. It is so pretty and classy, if a makeup brush can be called that. It is the "Marbleous C06 Tulip Eye Brush". This will the answer to all eyeshadow blending! I can not wait to use it. It's just so pretty. I have heard of the spectrum brand before and often dream about owning a set of brushes from their collection. So having this might tip me over the line to actually buy a full set.

The next gift inside the box was an eye shadow trio set. I think this was to go with the brush, so I like that there is a theme throughout the box. The eyeshadow is by POP Beauty and it is the "Bright Up Your Life" eye shadow trio in the shade Champagne Mocha. I really like the middle shade it's a gorgeous dusky pink shade. It is a geat travel size to take in you make up bag as you can slip it in and it won't take much room up. I have used these and I really liked the middle one and the darker shade on the right. I personally found no use for the lighter shade, but it's still quite nice.

On to the next gift, it's a mini version of the Beaver Professional Daily Moisture Conditioning Spray. I  have never heard of a conditioning spray so that really intrigued me. It is meant to help hair that is frazzled and knotty. I mean that sums up my hair in two words! So I was super excited to give this product a go. So I washed my hair like normal and once it had semi dried and was just damp I sprayed the mist onto my hair and let it sink in. I can't say it worked straight away but after a few uses I definitely felt a difference and my hair isn't as frizzy. That is a bonus.

The fourth gift was a Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. Now, I have seen this product on social media. Instagram you name it I have seen many people rave about it. I am not one for oils personally and so I have never had the desire to go out and buy it. So this tester pot is a great idea to see what the hype is about and see why so many people like it. You can use this oil either on your face, body or hair. It is a product that you can use everywhere. I have yet to try this product but I have a feeling I will use it on my hands as I suffer from very dry skin on my hands. So it might help them.

The last gift inside the February Birchbox was a KEEOME Hydration Mask Therapy. I again have yet to use this, I plan on having a pamper night very soon. I think I will use this product then. This mask claims to revitalise skin in minutes and help hydrate the skin. I have oily skin so I am worried it will make it oilier so I plan on using this when I have a few days away from everyone just in case it does make my skin more oilier. However, I think it will help me with my dry patches on my face. I guess I have combination skin really. Either way, I will use this mask in the bath one evening for the full recommended 25 minutes.

Well, that is the end of my review on The February Birchbox. I hope you all liked it and you might even treat yourself to a subscription. I personally liked this box and I would not hesitate to buy myself another one. I actually liked that the beauty box that it came in was so pretty and collectable. This month they teamed up with Papier and they created this beautiful design. Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post.

Jade's February Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello it's Jade here and today's blog post is all about last months favourites. It feels like February was ages away but it was only 8 days away. Which I guess is a long time but it's gone so fast for me, I can't believe we're in March already. Anyways lets get on with this blog post.

My first favourite is soap and glory. I've always been aware of the brand but never actually used it. However I'm in love with it. The shower gel is amazing it's smells devine and makes your skin feel so soft afterwards. It's an affordable price and you can buy it in any boots store I think.
My next favourite is face masks. There is a theme going on here and it's much to do with pamper evenings. Which is the best for stressed out people, definitely try it. I love this face mask from lush. It's refreshing and leaves your facial skin so clean. It's got such a distinct smell of mint which I really like.

This perfume is so sweet and lovely. It's called Ari by Ariana Grande and I've wanted it for ages, I received it for Christmas and ever since I've been wearing it. I love the packaging it's very classy. The Pom Pom is so cute and I often clip it onto my keys but otherwise I keep it on my perfume bottle.

My last favourite is magazines. I've got a little obsession with magazines at the moment, not just a celebrity gossip one but fashion and interior design. I like the fashion magazine as it gives me a lot of inspiration for my own fashion style. I'm re decorating my bedroom this year so the interior design magazine are great and I've actually purchased some items that I've soon on there.

Thank You for taking the time to read this blog post, I hope I've given you some ideas on what to treat yourself to this month coming. I definitely reccomend the perfume it's so sweet. I hope your having a lovely week and don't forget to smile and be happy !!

Please share the pea pod love!

Thank you !!
