Pixi Products Review

Pixi has always been a well known brand to me but I have never actually tried it out. Until recently, I was fortunate enough to have a gift voucher for M & S. So, I made sure I bought a couple of Pixi products and I thought I would share my honest opinion! Is Pixi really worth the hype?

Firstly, I had to try the Pixi Glow Tonic, everyone and their mum has tried and recommended this product. It is alcohol free and is not tested on animals, which is a big green tick from me, plus it is suitable for all skin types so I was quite excited to test it out. I have very oily skin so the sound of a light and nourishing toner that balances the complexion was right up my street.

I can honestly say... I am sold. I love this product so much and it has become a staple in my skincare routine. I use it after I have cleansed and exfoliated. I 100% recommend this product because it has helped my skin feel so smooth and helps on the oily areas on my face. I can't say it has lowered my acne but my skin feels a lot cleaner.

The second product I bought was the Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser. I have to admit I bought this thinking it was a mud mask, but when it arrived in the post, I found it was cleanser. So instantly I was intrigued by the thought of a mud cleanser, I have never seen one before.

The mud cleanser helps to clean and detoxifies your pores. It leaves my skin feeling clean and soft which is all I can ask for. I do really like this product and I have enjoyed using and testing it out. Although, I have to say it retails at £18, which is quite a bit of money for a cleanser. I would potentially buy this product again but I am aware of other cheaper alternatives out there.

Finally I received the Pixi Rose Glow Mist as a free gift. I haven't been able to use this product to it's full potential due to it having oil within the product. I have oily skin, as I mentioned earlier so this product isn't suitable for my skin. The mist is a dual-phase treatment that helps to strengthen and protect skin. Infused with seven flower oils including Rose, Argan and Avocado, it replenishes the skin while defending against free radical damage.

Overall, I much love the Pixi Glow Tonic and will re-purchase it once I have ran out. Are there any Pixi products out there you recommend for oily skin?

Thank You,

Jade

Jade's May Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! It's Jade here and I hope you are all well. Today's blog post will be recapping on my May favourites. I absolutely love doing favourite's blog posts. This is because I get to talk about what I have been loving in the past month. Some of my favourites have been towards the end of may and some have been at the start. So without further ado, let's get on with my May favourites of May 2017.

My first favourite has recently become a May favourite. When the hype of the Morphe pallet was going around I tried my very hardest to get my hands on a pellet but every time I went to order one they were out of stock. So in the middle of May, I was online shopping and went onto beautybay and spotted that the Morphe 350S pallet was in stock, the pallet I wanted. So, I snapped up one and patiently waited for it to arrive. I am in love. There are so many colours in the pallet and each so pigmented and shiny. I obviously got a shimmer pallet but I really wanted to start using more burgundy colours. That is now the kind of eye colour I go for all the time now. The packaging is great and slim and the eyeshadows colour blend really well and it such a good pallet for value for money. I would definitely recommend one if you can get your hands on one.

My next May favourite is 13 Reasons Why the TV show. I feel like everyone and their gran has watched this tv show. I absolutely love it. I have to admit it was quite slow, to begin with, and I struggled to get involved. However, that soon changed when I binged watched the show in 2 days. I love the storyline and how it shows depression in a true representation. The cinematography in the show is really good too, I loved the camera angles they used. I won't carry on talking about the show as I'm sure you have already watched it. If you haven't then seriously bite the bullet and watch it. Like I say the first 2-3 episodes are slow and you need to give it time after that it is hooking.

Again sticking with the TV show theme another favourite of mine is Riverdale the TV show. It's amazing and I binged watched this so fast that I was waiting for all my friends to finish watching it so I could talk about it with them. Jughead and Archie are just HOT. I can't get over them. If you haven't watched Riverdale it's a TV show set in an American high school and one of the jocks gets murdered and 4 teens (Jughead, Archie, Betty and Veronica) all try to figure out who the killer was of Jason Blossom.  It's such a good series and I would totally recommend it. However, the last episode was such a disappointment I feel like they tried to cram too much into one episode so more people would watch season 2. It is still a good show and definitely check it out.

The next favourite that I have been loving in May is a foundation. You guys will all know how much I find it a struggle to find a good foundation I like. I am always on the lookout for a good foundation. Well, I have come across a great foundation that I recommend and it is only £12.99. It is the Revlon Colour Stay. It is a great drugstore foundation. It lasts me all day at college without no touch ups and I can even go all night with it on. It is amazing and they have such a wide range of shades. The thing that I like most is that it accommodates to your skin. You find your shade then you can either get it for dry skin, normal skin or oily skin. I really like that. It's such a good foundation for the price you pay I am on my 3rd bottle its great.

My last favourite of May is Harry Styles new album. Harry's new album was released on 12th May. I pre-ordered it and was so excited to get it. I listened to it first with Lydia as we are both seeing him live together in October. The album is so different and definitely influenced by artists such as The Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley. I love it so much. My favourite songs off the album are Kiwi, From the dining room table and Only Angel. I absolutely love all the songs on the album but gotta love them. Listening to the album just gets me more excited for the tour.

That's all my May favourites I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Thank You for taking the time to read this blog post, it means a lot to us. What has been your May favourite?

Please Share The Pea Pod Love,

Thank You,

Jade Xx

Jade's May Favourites

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog. It's Jade here and I hope you have had a gorgeous day. Today I am going to be talking about My favourites in May. May has been a packed month for me and I'm sure June will be too. This month I started my GCSE's hopefully all my hard work will have paid off. June will continue to be packed but I also get to see the end of my exams on the 20th. Anyways lets get on with the blog post.

My first favourite is the Emma Hardie amazing face moringa cleansing balm. I purchased this in York. I absolutely love it. I feel like my skin has improved so much after using it and my skin feels so clean. Before this product I'd have never used a cleansing balm before but this product is great, you can definitely see the differences in your skin when you use it. It's great at taking make up off too. The only downfall is the muslin cloth it comes with is white and all I can say is it's stained orange and black from my make up. So I just use a normal face cloth from next instead. I definitely recommend this product it is a little on the pricey side, it's £38 for 100ml but a little goes a long way. I use a pea sized amount every day and it's lasted me for ages and is still going strong.

My next favourite is my Ted Baker sunglasses. I purchased these for myself out of my birthday money and I love them. Majority of my friends were shocked I paid a lot of money for sunglasses when I normally sit on them or loose them. However they are so cute how could I not? As its been sunny recently in England I have been able to use them and they do a good job of keep the sun out of my eyes. So I love them. I've also always wanted a nice pair of sun glasses so I thought I'd just treat my self.

My next favourite is the sanctuary spa thermal detox clay mask. It's a thick clay mask that is grey. All you need to do is apply it to your face and almost straight away its warming up your face. It says to leave it on for 5 minutes but I leave it on for a good 10 minutes. After that I use a muslin cloth to remove it off my face. It leaves my skin feeling clean and super soft. I definitely recommend this product, it's an affordable price of £9.99 and it lasts a long time. I tend to use it twice a week and I've had it since March. I think this is a good dupe to the origins clay mask. It's also great for a stressful day and it helps you unwind.

This is a bit of a random favourite but I've been really enjoying smoothies, especially in the morning. Sometimes when I eat in the morning it makes me feel sick so I've recently been making a fruit smoothie. My favourite is bananas, strawberry, kiwi and raspberries. A weird combination but it's so refreshing and gives you a health kick in the morning.

The last favourite is the real techniques blush brush. Recently I've been applying more blusher than usual and I really like that rosy cheek effect. I think the blush brush is perfect for applying it onto your face, it covers all the areas on your cheek bones. It's also super soft and I quite like holding a chunky brush. It's easy to clean and get the excess blush off. I am a fan of the real techniques make up brush range, as you all know I like to rave about them. I think they are such good value for money. They are such good affordable prices and do a great job. Also most of all the bristles don't fall out which is a bonus!!

So that's all from me, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and if you try any of these items out or you share the love for one of these products then let us know !! I hope you're having a great day and don't forget shoot for the moon because even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars 🌟.  Be Happy.
