Bluebird Tea Haul

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Bonjour! Our lovely readers welcome back to our blog! If you are new here then we publish a new blog post every week on a Tuesday at 6 pm! So it's that time again where we talk about our recent purchases. Both of us (Jade & Lydia) are tea fanatics and we love a good cuppa! Not helping the British stereotype but moving on.... we do love a good cuppa. Jade stumbled across the company         'Bluebird Tea Company' on Instagram and it is situated in Brighton.  The Insta pics were all too tempting and we soon found herself browsing their online shop. They have many tempting flavours and they all sound so delicious. The company had an offer on if you spend £35 or more you qualify for free shipping. That was the prompt to purchase a few items. With 50g pouch's mostly costing around £5.50 each, Lydia joined in on purchasing a few tea's. The tea's that Bluebird Tea Company offer is either loose leaf tea or luxury biodegradable tea parcels. After spending £35 . 35 our order was on its way. We both were very excited to receive our box in the post.

Now, enough rambling let's get on with what we bought and our first impressions!!

Jade Bought:

Strawberry Lemonade Luxury Biodegradable Tea Parcels

Fruit Salad 50g Pouch Loose Leaf Tea

Pineapple Sorbet Luxury Biodegradable Tea Parcels

Nearly Nirvana Individual Tea Bag ( Plus 2 Free samples)

Tea Infuser Sacs

Lydia Bought:

Watermelon Splash 50g Pouch Loose Leaf Tea

Strawberry Lemonade Luxury Biodegradable Tea Parcels

Cherry Bakewell 50g Pouch Loose Leaf Tea

We also received Mojitea and Morning Kick as two free samples. After getting over the excitement of receiving the tea it was the challenge of who could brew their tea first.  So here are our preferences Jades favourite way of having a flavoured tea is iced tea and Lydia's preferred way of drinking tea is hot.  So stupidly Jade did not do her research and left the strawberry lemonade tea bag in for 6 mins and drank it with the tea bag in. Have to admit there was no taste to it... So Twitter was calling and after desperately tweeting @Bluebirdteaco on twitter. It was assured that you are meant to brew iced tea's for 4 hours or overnight. So that's what we did. The night soon became day and two iced cubes in and WOW. There was definitely a strong taste of Strawberry lemonade. Very refreshing.

Lydia's first tea was a hot brewed Strawberry Lemonade. It tasted divine and definitely a good one for outdoors in the sunshine, even it is hot. The strawberry flavour was strong and very fruity. Jade also tried it hot and it was quenching and definitely had a kick of flavour. However, it was much preferred it in an iced tea form.

After trying all of our teas that we bought both iced and hot we came to a conclusion that we would definitely buy from Bluebird Tea company again.  Lydia's favourite was definitely the cherry Bakewell tea hot. It smelt like cherry Bakewell and tasted as good as the smell. You could definitely tell it was cherry Bakewell flavour and it's amazing. Recommend this flavour so so much. Least favourite tea that was bought was watermelon splash because it was definitely refreshing and worked well as a iced tea but as Lydia prefers hot tea it wasn't as good. Jade's favourite was the fruit salad both iced and hot. The iced was definitely more refreshing and the hot version was lovley and very sweet and great for a cozy night in. Jade's least favourite was strawberry lemonade as when it was hot it definetly had a kick of flavour that lingered on your tatse buds for a while.

Overall we are very impressed with our order, it came very quickly. A big thank you to the customer team who even wrote a personal message on our order paper in the box. Also they were only too happy to help us on twitter with our iced tea problem. Overall we have to say they are a polite and friendly company and that goes a long way with customers. We will definitely be ordering again especially in the winter time, can't wait to try their winter flavours.

If you would like to browse their website and look at their flavours then here is the link: https://bluebirdteaco.com/uk_en/

Thank you for reading our blog post, we hope you have enjoyed it. If you have tried a tea from the Bluebird Tea Company then please give us your recommendations. Hope you have a good week.

Seeing Bruno Mars Live

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hi everyone, Jade here. I hope you are all having a great day. The weather in England is amazing right now. So I must admit writing this blog post in the sunshine is great. Anyways, as you can see by the blog title I saw Bruno Mars Live on his 24K magic tour. I have seen Bruno Mars live twice before each time on a different tour. I am lucky enough to say I have never missed a tour of his. I really like his music. So I saw him in Nottingham on the 27th April.

Bruno Mars is a pure showman. Bruno and his 'Hooligans' are great dancers and it's amazing to watch. Every time I see him live I always say he sounds much better live. His voice is amazing and I love how powerful it is. Fun fact Bruno Mars's actual name is Peter Gene Hernandez. Random but I love telling people that fact haha.

My absolutely favourite song by Bruno Mars is Somewhere In Brooklyn.... sadly he has never sung that live and he didn't sing that this concert either. However, I did like it when he sang Chunky and Finesse. Those songs are off his new album. He also sang a few songs from his previous albums.

Also sorry for the quality of the photos. I was quite far away from the stage and I was using my iPhone which is literally on it's last legs of life.

I took a few more pictures but they were not the best quality. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and I would recommend anyone to go see him live in concert. I was on my feet dancing and singing the whole time. So that is the end of this blog post. I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience in seeing Bruno Mars live. I absolutely love seeing artists live in concert I have 3 more concerts this year. I am seeing Olly Murs again, Robbie Williams ( I am only going to keep my Mum company) and then Harry Styles. I am so happy I got Harry Styles tickets. So make sure you stay tuned to read those blog posts.

Keep Smiling

Life After GCSE'S

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog,

Hi everyone and welcome bac to our blog! We hope you are all doing well. So it is currently April and this time last year (2016) we were both revising for our GCSE'S. Now, if you are not from the UK then let's explain what GCSE'S are. In simple terms, they are a bunch of grades that you get after numerous exams that help determine what you go on to do next in life. Many employers later on in life also check your GCSE grades. So we guess they are quite important.

Anyways, we thought since one of our most read blog posts is Jade's GCSE results so we thought we would check in and let everyone know what we are doing and how we are doing.

So let's start with Jade. Jade is currently at college studying Media Level 3. It has proven to be a challenge and Jade did not realise how many essays were involved. It is more written based rather than practical. However, it isn't all bad as Jade has made some great friends in her class and enjoys hanging out with them. It is a two-year course so Jade will be continuing with Media next year too.

Then Lydia is doing Motor Vehicle Level 1. Lydia is really enjoying the course and she has found a passion for mechanics. Lydia's love for cars has continued to evolve. Lydia has made some great friends in her class and enjoys talking to them. Lydia will continue next year with Motor Vehicle doing Level 2 as she is enjoying it.

Whilst we are both currently attending different colleges and we are enjoying it. We still see each other nearly every week if not every other week and being at different colleges has definitely not jeopardized our friendship. If anything we are closer than we have been before. So if you are currently looking at colleges and 6 forms to go to. Make sure you chose for you and not your friends. As you can still keep in touch with your friends whilst you are different schools.

So to wrap up the blog post we would like to stress something important. Something we have learned since taking our GCSE exams and receiving our results is, that they aren't actually important as your teachers make out they are. At our school, we used to have a year 11 assembly every Monday morning with the head teacher. In that assembly, we used to have a countdown on the wall of how many days we had left until our first GCSE exam. Throughout those assemblies, we used to be preached about doing revision and how our lives would fail if not. During the exam seasons we were both little stress balls.  Making sure we had revised enough and the pressure got to us. We were both relieved when the last exam was over. We both got pretty standard exam results and we were both proud of them. So far the results we recieved has made no effect on our lives yet. At that moment in time you GCSE's seem the most important thing in the world. Honestly, they aren't. If you are currently in year 11 and you are revising for your exams. Sit back and take a breather. Do not get so stressed over them. They aren't the end of the world. So keep to a healthy amount of revision and relax. Good Luck.

Why I Wear Makeup

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Evening everyone it is Jade here. Today I am going to discuss something that is quite important to me. I feel like girls who wear makeup are targeted with the same brush. I have a feeling this blog post is going to be quite long, so grab a cup of tea and a biscuit and tuck into my new blog post.

Recently I have had a few comments thrown towards me regarding my make up. I am a lover of makeup and I really enjoy collecting and applying makeup. That is just who I am. So when I was told and I quote 'You only wear makeup to hide your insecurities' and 'You are clearly wearing all that slap to hide something on your face that you do not like' and 'You're so pale and different when you wear makeup' I was quite hurt and shocked that someone would actually say that to me. I am not going to name the person/people or their genders for the sake of less negativity and arguments. This is because I respect that others may have a different opinion than what I have. I am basically sharing my story because it gave me a great idea for a blog post.

So back to the story, I was very angry that those comments had been said to my face. I genuinely thought someone wouldn't be that vile and cruel to say that. Let's get this straight I personally don't wear makeup to hide my insecurities and features on my face. I wear makeup to college and work because I enjoy applying my makeup and it's so much fun in the morning. Now, I don't wear makeup every day to college and work. That's because if I don't feel like applying it in the morning because I'm either too lazy or not feeling makeup today then I won't wear makeup that day. During secondary school, I never wore makeup because I valued sleep a bit more. I also was not that much into makeup. Many people would say I only wear makeup to impress someone. Well, that is not true because you shouldn't wear makeup to impress someone. You should wear makeup because you enjoy it.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I wear make up for myself. I don't wear makeup for a guy, I don't wear makeup for anyone but me. I find it really fascinating that I can make my face look slightly different with makeup. I enjoy that but I mostly enjoy doing my makeup because its creative and I consider myself as quite creative. To anyone who is reading this and might wear makeup because the don't like something on their face, a mole or a scar etc. Please don't hide behind makeup, embrace your differences. If we all looked the same then we would be pretty boring. You are beautiful the way you are and don't let anyone tell you any different. Wear makeup because it's a fun thing to do, don't feel like you have to hide behind your makeup. I hope you see makeup as a good thing and that you are confident enough to go out without makeup. I challenge you to go a day at college/school or day to day life without wearing makeup. It will do you the wonders of good. Embrace your skin and your natural face. I don't wear makeup every day at college. I rarely wear it on a Monday, because I hate Mondays haha!

Another thing I would like to address is negative comments. As I mentioned earlier the idea from this blog post spiraled from negative comments said to me. I brushed them off. It made me think, though, a few years ago that would have really hurt me and I would have thought it over and over again in my head. I am actually really proud of myself that I turned that negative comment into something good. I turned it into a blog post idea and I really hope this blog post has given you the confidence to go a day without makeup. Can I just say, though, I am not trying to say don't wear makeup to let everyone see the natural you. I am trying to make you reading this see how amazing you are.  I embrace my spots and moles on my face. That is because it makes me unique and it is a part of who I am.

I think I am going to stop here as I feel like I am rambling and repeating myself. haha. The main aim of this blog post is self-love. Love and embrace your skin. Don't wear makeup to impress others and because others do. Makeup is fun and don't forget that! Enough from me, I hope you have had a lovely day. Yesterday I went to go see Olly Murs live in concert! I don't want to spoil too much as there will be a blog post on it very soon! Stay tuned.

Thank You for reading our blog.

Dealing With Stress

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Hello, we hope you're  all doing well. Today we thought we would do more of a chatty blog post. Our aim this year was to put more effort in the blog posts.... It's not going the best so far but hopefully, this all changes around in this blog post. Stress. It's an awful word and it means a lot, many people get stressed out over anything. So we thought we'd be able to help you relax a little more.

We would just like to reiterate that we aren't some sort of expert on stress, we are going to past experience and how we coped with it.

So firstly we would definitely recommend staying away from caffeine which is scientifically proven to calm stress levels down as they are stimulants so they will increase your level of stress. So if we are feeling quite stressed we keep away from the coffee and high in sugar products. Just so we feel more relaxed.

The next tip we have is to catch up on your sleep. You might be feeling stressed because of the lack of sleep your body is taking in. So why not get in your warm fuzzy pyjamas and rest your head. However, you might be getting such little sleep because your mind is elsewhere and that's why your stress levels are increasing. So try and put whatever is bugging you to the back of your mind, we are not trying to tell you to bury your head in the sand but definitely just try and not think about it and get some sleep so you feel a little less stressed. Try to forget about that your body needs 8 hours of sleep, as that will make you worry and you will continually think about that. Also, try to not do mentally demanding work a few hours before you go to sleep as then it will give your brain time to calm down.

Try to relax. We think this is the most important point as it is the key to all of the points to deal with stress. If you tend to get stressed throughout the week then dedicate an evening to yourself. Run yourself a warm bubble bath and relax in the bath with candles. Buy your favourite magazine and have a read of it whilst soaking. Make sure you put on your favourite face mask and just zone out from the world. Make it your time. After that, moisturise and just relax in bed. Make sure you just chill out. Once you are physically relaxed your mind will also switch off.

We've also heard its good to keep a 'Stress Diary'. By keeping a diary you can write down when you felt stressed and why you felt stressed. It will help you become more aware of the situations which cause you to become stressed. So all you really need to do is note the date, time and place of each stressful episode and note what you were doing, who you were with and how you really felt inside.

Our last tip is to learn to say NO. This is a big issue for us, we don't like to feel that we have let someone down so we often feel obliged that we have to say yes. Some people say yes when they know they have so much to do and such little time. Yet we still agree to the additional responsibility however if we learn to say no we would be able to reduce stress levels and it might also develop your self-confidence. We know it can be hard to say no as you want to help but for once put yourself first.

We hope these few tips have helped you and we really hope you take them on board and try some of them out. We are currently under loads of pressure as were in the middle of revision for our GCSE's and we can tell you it is SO stressful especially with all the pressure the school put on you. So we definitely have taken some of these tips on board. Have a lovely day and smile because life is a beautiful thing and we should embrace it.

Seeing One Direction Live

Hello It's 2 Peas In A Pod Blog Here,

Today's blog post will be about Jade's visit to Sheffield in England to see One Direction. We are both huge One Direction fans and love watching them live. Jade has seen them live 4 times once on the X factor tour where she met them, once on the up all night tour, once on the where we are tour and also went with Lydia and then this time on the on the road again tour. So Jade travelled down to Sheffield to see them and also went shopping in Meadowhall in the day time but stay tuned for a haul post next week.

The support act was Jamie Lawson, he was really good and such an amazing guitar player. Jade had such good seats she was 9 seats in from the stage and actually Harry throws water on the crowd and Jade got drenched with it, she was that close. The show was at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena.

So here is a few photos Jade took from the night. These were narrowed down from 243 photos plus others from her mums phone!

Liam Payne

Niall Horan
Louis Tomlinson
Harry Styles

So close. They were amazing as per usual. They got the crowd going and spoke to the fans so nicely and as if we was one of them. There was one part where Niall always gets the crowd to sing the last 2 lyrics in Little Things in his solo but he always shouts ' You Sing' at his part and before he could say it the crowd sang it to him before and Niall just burst out laughing. Then Harry nearly got a little girl called Lucy crying and he kept on coming up to her saying I'm sorry, it was so cute.

So thank you for reading this blog post we hope you've enjoyed it. If you have been to see One Direction before what was your favourite part? Also Happy Halloween!! Hope your all having a great day.

If you are not already following us on Bloglovin' we would really appreciate it if you did as we are trying to reach 100 followers by the end of the year so please help us with our goal.
